“We Care” Teen Summit

Thursday Night Thrillers (TNT) is more than just a basketball program—it's a transformative experience designed to uplift and empower youth in our community. Launched in 2021, TNT operates during times when youth violence is most prevalent, providing a safe haven for middle school and high school boys and girls to come together and pursue their passion for basketball in a structured environment.

Over the course of six weeks, TNT offers participants the opportunity to showcase their skills on the court while also receiving invaluable support and resources. Central to the program's mission is the commitment to addressing the needs of underserved youth, ensuring that every participant has access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.

One of the key initiatives of TNT is its comprehensive giveaway program, which aims to support those in need while fostering a sense of community and belonging. At the outset of the program, 500 pairs of shoes are distributed to participants, ensuring that each individual has suitable footwear to excel both on and off the court. This gesture not only addresses a practical need but also sends a powerful message of support and encouragement to every participant.

 In addition to footwear, TNT provides a range of other essential items and services to empower participants and their families. Free book bags are distributed to help students stay organized and prepared for the school year ahead, while complimentary haircuts ensure that every participant feels confident and ready to take on the world. Furthermore, furniture vouchers are offered to families in need, helping to create a more comfortable and stable home environment for those facing economic hardship.

By combining the excitement of basketball with a commitment to community support and empowerment, TNT seeks to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
