Our Leaders

Laura Gordon, Founder and President of Real Situations Inc., is committed to community improvement and support. With 15+ years of insurance experience and leadership skills she brings strong organizational skills.

Her passion for aiding those in poverty began in Columbus, Ohio, where she researched local poverty issues, uncovering crime and economic struggles affecting minority youth. She believes in providing families with essential resources and opportunities.

In 2020, during COVID-19, Laura launched Real Situations Inc. to support families with care packages and bill assistance, aiding over 300 families. Understanding the need for community support, she organized fundraisers to sustain the nonprofit.

By September 2021, Real Situations Inc. became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. As President, Laura leads efforts against homelessness, poverty, and teen violence, empowering families and promoting social justice.
